Swap For : Fender, anything really? Something quality, maybe needs work + cash??
I purchased this guitar not too long ago of trademe and was very suprised with it once i set it up, im looking for an upgrade though. Would be willing to do a deal?? Im looking for a fender but would consider anything, dont mind if it needs a little work.
Looks left handed in the photos but thats just because i took photos from my lap to it is not left handed
Interesting guitar. Black body, neck and headstock, rosewood fret board. Looks kinda cool in tuxedo colours.
Body seems to be solid wood not ply, typical of good quality (and often Japanese) strat copies of this era.
Very straight neck. Action low. Bone nut. Frets are in remarkably good condition with minimal wear. Replaced the craked stock pick guard with an intact white one. Pickups have a nice twangy vintage strat tone. Plays extremely well and feels great for a copy guitar, does'nt quite sound as good as it feels but sounds pretty good through my vox.
Electrics all working fine.
Now the bad,
-there is a small chip out of the rose wood on the low E side of the neck. Doest seem to effect playing.
-Missing one of the two small string hight adjustment screws on the B string (but the remaining one is sufficient to adjust action. Cheap to replace any how.
-plenty of chips in the paint work (but no major dings in the body)
-input jack is a bit crackly i will try to remedy
I will include the old pickguard and a soft case. Would prefer someone in the area so you can pick it up.
Marina Guitar. Strat Copy
